This project was to construct a 1500 tonne potato store at Mayfield Farm on a design and build basis. The steel framed twin span building had 100mm thick composite cladding, rainwater drainage works, floor slab, sectional insulated entrance door and personnel fire door as well as extensive external concrete areas. We had to liaise with the client's preferred refrigeration contractor.

 

Construction was done to strict deadlines to be completed in time for the new season crop to be stored and had to be constructed a long side the busy day to day running of the existing business. The building was completed within the projected contract time. The client was extremely pleased with the building, saying "The job was managed very professionally and we hardly knew they were there".
